Welcome to Oograh Boike's unofficial Thud!®-page.

A couple of downloads for you:

-a printable version of the Thud Board with coordinates.

-The rules to Koom Valley Thud, in a doc with diagrams, as provided by BeckyO (please note that at the moment these rules are being discussed. As a try out this rule has been added: "Dwarfs cannot move the Thudstone backwards (towards dwarfs own starting half of the board) unless there is one or more Trolls adjacent to the Thudstone").
Plus get this savegame for ThudBoard that sets up KVThud for you. You need ThudBoard version 1.5 or later to be able to play KVThud! Go here to get the latest ThudBoard.

-The rules (in PDF), for Klash, another Thud version from the great mind of Trevor Truran himself. Please note that you will need this setup for your ThudBoard app to correctly distribute the pieces on the board (thank you SANEAlex).

-This is great! If you'd like to get an insight into how Thud and Koom Valley Thud came to be you really should listen to this! Phazecast did an interview with Trevor Truran, the man behind Thud and KVT, and Trevor told a great story about the hows, whats, and whens. Thank you Phazecast for allowing me to use this excerpt of a podcast about Discworld Event at Hincley.
Available for download are this WAV file (~5MB), and this OGG file (~4MB).

-A ThudBoard snapshot for a hypothetical game discussed here. and here (please find the FIRST november 6th, 2005 post).
In addition: The Dewi Theory (ThudBoard savegame) on how this abovementioned hypothetical game could have come to this point.

-Woad sent me his version of rules for Cripple Mr Onion card game. Thanks Woad!

-Mazur made a Paper Thud set for the impoverished (or traveling) Thud enthousiast: click the thumbnail below to download, print it twice, paste the two halves together (make sure you paste one column on top of the other or you'll end up with an extra column), cut out the pieces and presto! Your own Thud travel set! You can paste it on cardboard for extra strength. Very nice work, and thank you Mazur!
If you'd like the Paper Thud set with coordinates, click here and here.

-FlorisXIV came up with an entirely new game. He's open to suggestions for a name, but for the the time being you can download the rules for Boogeyman here. It looks complicated, but isn't. The example game at the end of the doc helps a lot.

Happy Thudding!
